Long time, no blog!
Hello!! We are still alive and well. No excuses for not blogging for soooo long!! Although, not been able to post pictures for some reason - so will have to update you by writing instead.
I now only have one week left of my first term!! It's gone so quickly. All is going well so far. The kids are great - keen to learn and well behaved. Getting a bit more of a balance with school work, although the marking doesn't get any less whichever country you are in! All the staff are really supportive at the school and the parents have been good so far. Looking forward to a break though. We get 2 and a half weeks over Easter.
After doing the journey by public transport to school for the first few weeks, we decided it was time to get a car! This gives me about an extra hour a day (which is usually swallowed up by school work!!) but makes it much easier. We managed to last 10 months in Sydney without a car and enjoyed not being car dependent, but it's much more practical now I'm not working in the city. It also means we can get out and about at the weekend and see different places.
We've done quite a bit over the last few weeks. Here are some highlights. (Pictures to follow)

We've done quite a bit over the last few weeks. Here are some highlights. (Pictures to follow)
- Trip to The Basin - a quiet spot that you can only get to by ferry or walking. We spend the day relaxing and swimming and meeting the local wildlife!
- Pacific drive to Wollongong - beautiful coastal drive
- Shopping to Ikea! - a few more bits for our apartment
- Hillsong Live Album recording at Olympic Park Arena - amazing to be with about 18,000 other people worshipping God with great songs. We'll let you know when the album is out!
- Visit from Katy Fawcett for a few days on her way back from Papua New Guinea. Great to catch up and have a nice meal in Darling Harbour.
- Weekend in Canberra - spent time in Australia's capital visiting museums and Parliament House.
We are really looking forward to my parents arriving on Friday!! They will be here for just over 2 weeks. It'll be lovely to show them around where we live. We are also going away to Tasmania for 6 days which will be great.
