Crossing the ditch

I have been tracking the news from the latest effort to Kayak from Sydney across the Tasman or 'the ditch' to New Zealand. The two guys have been training for 4 years before setting off 12 days ago. The total journey is 2200km and they are almost half way! No-one has managed to kayak across the ditch but its looking good for them so far. G'day Possums

We have a few trees just our side our lounge window. They are home to two possums. They venture out most evenings and we can hear them climbing though the trees and on occasion fighting with each other. I took a picture of one of them tonight to post.

Early Morning Surf and BBQ Breakfast

Here are a few pictures from an early morning trip to Garie beach today. I met with a few friends early to travel south (45 mins) to Garie beach in the Royal National Park. We arrived just before 7am spent an hour in the water body-boarding, then cooked up a breakfast near the lagoon. What more could I ask for on a Saturday morning!
