Crossing the ditch

I have been tracking the news from the latest effort to Kayak from Sydney across the Tasman or 'the ditch' to New Zealand. The two guys have been training for 4 years before setting off 12 days ago. The total journey is 2200km and they are almost half way! No-one has managed to kayak across the ditch but its looking good for them so far.
