Just had a wonderful flight on a ski plane above Mount Cook and Franz Josef Glacier (apart from being sick a few times!). We landed high up on the mountain amidst all the crunchy white snow. So thankful that the weather was good enough for us to do it as yesterday it rained all day! Heading further up the coast today to Punakaiki blowholes and then on the TranzAlpine train across to Christchurch.

Happy Christmas!
We hope you are all having a wonderful time celebrating. A lot has been happening over the last few months! The flights are now booked for us to return to the UK in early February. Esther is 4 months pregnant and we are expecting our first baby in May. We have both finished our jobs in Sydney and have two months off before Eifion starts work in London.
We are making the most of our time and on holiday for 2 weeks in New Zealand. The past few days have been amazing, travelling around Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound. We went on an overnight cruise where there was no-one else around except our boat. It was very peaceful and spectacular weather. Dolphins played on the bow of the boat and we saw seals lazing around on the rocks. Now we are in Queenstown and will be driving up the west coast to Franz Josef Glacier on Christmas Day. Then we head to Christchurch and Wellington to see Esther’s family.
We are thinking of you all and wish everyone all the best for a Happy New Year! Looking forward to seeing you back in sunny England very soon!!
